Hello I am from Canada so sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but didn't know what other site to ask. Last night I was drinking with some friends at their house and we decided to go to a bar, I tried to use my fake ID and was denied and directed to a police officer. The officer took away my ID and wrote me a ticket for underage drinking, although I had no alcohol on me and he didn't see me drinking anything. However I did tell him I had been drinking at my friends house (Which I think is perfectly legal since it is private property, no?). Anyways a couple questions: Would this show up on a background check for a job or something? And would it be possible to fight this ticket and not have to pay entirely? Because he didn't see me drinking nor did I have any alcohol on me. I am 18 years old and the legal drinking age in my province is 19 (I'm born 3 months to early lol).

Thanks for any help in advance.
