Hello, I live in Illinois and I recent got an underage drinking ticket. I was told I had two weeks to pay the ticket or go to court about the matter. Today I went to the local court house to find out where to pay the ticket and I a very snobby lady told me that I had to go to court over it because it was a must appear ticket. I told her the officer told me I could just pay the ticket and be done with it or go to court and she told me if I just paid I would get my license suspended so I should just go to court about it instead. I just went to the office she mentioned and paid the ticket. My question is do I really have to still go to court about it? This is my second ticket like this and the first time I never had to go to court about it, I just paid it and moved on. Also, my ticket just said "Consumption of Alcohol by Minor", but when my name was put in the local paper it said "Purchase, Acceptance, Possession, Consumption of Alcohol". What's the deal with that?
