I live in WI and I am 18 years old for the record. I was at a house party and the cops were standing around outside the party. I left the house and a cop stopped me and started asking me some questions. She didn't breathalyze me or give me a field sobriety test. She asked if I had been drinking that night and I said I had a couple of drinks. She then asked what I meant by that and I said a couple of drinks. I want to fight the ticket because it is complete crap since no tests were given to me and I said I had a couple of drinks but that could mean anything. I didn't specify to drinking any alcoholic beverages. So do I have a chance in fighting this or no? Since no test was given and I didnt admit to drinking any alcohol.

Your chances of winning? Slim...you have a Bill Clinton defense..but are not Bill Clinton.

I see your statement as a confession....you'll find out. Post back.

You can always hire an attorney and ask them, but I would say that your confession is all they need to give you a ticket. You might, however, find that an attorney would be helpful in getting the charge expunged or exchanged for community service.
