i received a ticket in new jersey on the garden state pkwy.i was just entering the highway when i was pulled over by a state strooper.i was in the third lane trying to merge to the fourth in this five lane highway.i was shiftin from third to fourth gear when i noticed the flashing lights behind me.at this point i was up to fify miles an hour.when
we stopped the trooper asked me if i new what i was stopped for and i asked if i was changing lanes too fast.he said i was doing 81 miles an hour.i asked excuse me? then he just interrupted me and demanded my license insurance and registration.i did not deserved this ticket.he wrote the ticket for 12:50 pm and i have a receipt from getting gas at a station at 12:48.i obey all traffic laws and do not speed.what can i do to convince the judge i am telling the truth. the officer and i had no more dialogue except that he noticed i was nervous and at the time he handed me the ticket he said i can talk to the prosecutor to lower the mileage.but the fact is the fastest i drove was 50 miles per hour entering a highway with only a few cars on it,some of which definitely were driving very very fast. i didnt deserve this ticket and it bothers me that someone who is supposed to summons those who break the law would do something like this.i appalled at what happend and still am trying to figure out why he singled me out while there were cars passing me by especially when im merging from an entrance ramp.one more thing.on the ticket where there should be an s there looks like an 8 and on my drivers license part he scratched out and overwrote a couple of numbers. is there any thing i can do to get out of this? i am an ordained minister ,have a simple job and simple family life.i cannot afford this tremendous ticket a lawyer or whatever dmv and insurance surcharges may occur.please help me with some advice. from torn apart yakko911

Well the fact you are an ordained minister may help in the honesty category. I say fight the ticket! look under the search function for a listing entitled knucklehead by IAAL.
