What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY
Live and work in NYC

I was laid off as part of an empolyee reduction from a large corporation and as a result I decided to go back to school and acquire skills neccesary for me to get a simlar job to the one I had lost (599??). I was terminated in March 09.
In the interim I got a part time job to help pay my day to day bills which is a contract/ temp job. My contract will not be renewed in September when the school term starts.
What is my eleigibility in New york for unemployment benefits while I am a student in september?
thanks

If you aren't available to take a job in your regular line of work at the hours employees normally work in your regular line of work, and looking for work, you aren't eligible for UI.
