What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California. I worked two jobs one was full time and the other part time. If I quite my part time job before I got laid off from my full time job will I still qualify for unemployment?

Most likely.

If you earned 5 times your weekly benefit amount from the full-time job after quitting the part-time job, then it doesn't matter why you quit.

If you quit the part-time job to focus on our full time job, that would be excusable

If you quit the part-time job because you knew the full-time job was going to lay you off, and you didn't earn the amount referenced above, then you've got a problem.

This is what my situation is... With the part time I was going to quit back in November due to it effecting my full time job and other personal issues at home but I was asked to just cut down my hours until I cone back from vacation in January. came back to work for few weeks still having the same issue and I just quit the part time job.

So have you been laid off from your regular full time job yet, or are you just anticipating it? If, as it has been said, you have made some money and put a few more significant weeks of work in before you stop working for them due to lay off, that'll be fine. In any case, file the claim based on where you are working when you are laid off and see what's going on. Most part time work that you left while working will not be a big issue, unless your quitting it was very immediate to your other separation.

Then, of course if the part time job does call you back and ask you to work part time while you are drawing unemployment benefits, you can do that and receive part of your unemployment benefits, depending on how much you are working and how much you are drawing a week in unemployment. It can be a nice supplement to unemployment benefits and can extend them (you do not lose the money from unemployment that you do not draw each week, it can be held in your claim and parceled out in smaller units.)

My last day at my part time job was Jan 30 and full time job was Jan 31. I did put in my resignation for my part time job before finding out about the lay off.

File for benefits, tell the truth, and let them adjudicate it all out. There's not much else you can do under the circumstances. They will have the records and information from both jobs both on dates you worked there and reason for leaving, so there's no point in trying not to tell them exactly what the situation is with both jobs and let them work it out.
