What is the name of your state? Ohio

My fiance's ex-husband is an attorney, who uses his position and connections to continuously annoy her with petty motions, orders, etc. in their ongoing support/custody case. Since our engagement and impending marriage, he is now filing discovery and appearance motions on me, through his own attorney, for financial and other information not germaine to their divorce/support cases.

We plan to marry soon, and I was wondering what legal options are available to me to stop him and his attorney from further harassment and invasion of my privacy. Can a good, aggressive attorney slam this guy with enough retaliatory lawyering to convince him to stop? Can he be sued by me with recoverable legal fees?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

A judge once said the lawyers make the WORST clients in Divorce/Custody cases.

I believe a competent attorney could help you decipher what information is out of the scope of requirements for your fiance's case. You can always ask for attorney's fees~ But no one can tell you if you'll win. That's up to the judge's discretion...and I've seen them not be awarded when clearly they should have been- and likewise awarded when it didn't 'seem' necessary.

It boils down to whether or not you are willing to invest the money- whether or not you get it back.

Also, you say "Support" but you don't specify if it's child support or spousal support. Your income may be relevant if it's spousal support....Not the same case if it's child support.
