An open house was listed Sunday (6/25/00) in the newspaper for $132,900. We went and made a bid on the house for $138,000. At that time, it house was not in listed in MLS. On Tuesday, we were told that we did not get the house because another bidder could move faster than us and that they signed the P&S already. Tuesday afternoon, shortly after being told the bad news, I check our state internet for other properties in the same area. Nothing. On Wednesday morning, I check the state internet again and see the property we had bid on and lost now listed for a sale price of $140,000. Based on this information, anything I can do to get this house?

Yes. Use a Realtor or real estate attorney to write the offer at $140,000.
