You have the right to pay market value +$100 a month, or sign a 6 month lease.

That are your options......

I would suggest you get off your butttt and find aplace FAST!, use any sick days or vaction days from work, and get it done NOW!

The landlord has the LEGAL right to demand those terms.

Thank you for your response home guru!!! My question is; can they raise the rent from 1165 to 1275 + 100 is that legal it just seems outrageous considering we've been good tennants and have always paid our rent on time???

Confused

What is outrageous to you is a business decesion to them, if you can prove they discriminated against ONLY YOU........you might have some recouse.

Time to get hubby to take time off from work, use his sick and vaction days and go look every day of the week.

How about tring to sell some of junk around your house on http://www.ebay.com to raise some cash.....

Also contact all your friends and see how many have trucks, station wagons, and will help you move so you wont have to hire movers... GOT any friends or relatives who can stay with the kids after school so you and hubby can spend ALL of your time looking?
