What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Work for a company in California, they state that nobody can take vacation during a shutdown which happens in June and December.Yet they allowed an employee vacation time in June and said it was a mistake! So if employees want to visit family in December it will be denied!! They say work is mandatory during the shutdown is this legal??

I thought people who said this were "unfair," but it's true: be thankful that you have a job and can worry about vacations, which are not required by law anyway.
