I thought that the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund was funded by a portion of the premiums paid by all insured drivers in Maryland. If that's the case, wouldn't they be collecting a claim for which they are already funded? I thought this fund was created for cases such as mine. I know that it is unfair to the insured driver, but I thought this is what the fund was set-up for.
