What is the name of your state? ... Texas

I am a United States citizen that invests in a couple of offshore
type Forex market investment clubs.

I'm now told that if I'm a US citizen and invest in an investment
that is not SEC licensed that it is an illegal investment.....Unless
I'm considered an accredited investor.

Can you shed some light on this subject and also if so would
their be a way to set up an offshore account and/or business
so that I could invest in these?

The only thing is when I decide to take some profits I know I
will be taxed and not only that will it be legal.

Thanks,
--Jerome
