my friend worked for a company. her duties included paying bills. the owner died and his wife laid my friend off but my friend would go over a day or two a week to help her adjust to taking care of the business as she had no experience in that field. she paid my friend under the table. the wifes insurance on her car lapsed and she hit a deer and sustained $3800.00 in damages. the wife told my friend it was her fault that the insurance lapsed and that she would have to pay the cost of repairs plus her deductable. is my friend legally obligated to pay this since she was no longer in a employment situation? thanks, mongowife
