What is the name of your state? California

I work for a doctor that has for the last few months, been taking days off and closing the office for the day. He is not paying his employees for these days he closes the office is this legal? Some of us can not afford to miss a days wages. Thank you

It is legal for him to close the office. If you are non-exempt (paid hourly) then it is also legal for him not to pay you for that time; with very limited, state specific exceptions that do not apply here, a non-exempt employee never has a legal expectation of being paid when they do not work.

If any of the employees are exempt, then they still have to be paid, although they can be required to use their vacation or PTO for the time the office is closed.
