Hypothetical Situation:

Let's say that a friend of mine has an unpaid speeding ticket and maybe a parking ticket or two. He didn't pay them when they happened more than a year ago because he was irresponsible and childish.

Now he would truly like to pay them off and be done with it, but is afraid that just going to the courthouse to pay them off will result in his arrest.

What are the issues to be dealt with here? What can my friend do to pay these off and avoid arrest?

Please email [email protected] with replies.

all you have to do is go to the trafic court and pay the amount in full and they will not arest you. the worst that they will do is boot your car or impound the car untill you pay. if you do not pay after they have done so then they can put a warent out for your arrest. I know this because I had ten unpaid parking tickets and they booted my car until I paid in full.

Also you can speak with a criminal defense attorney that can verify if there is an outstanding arrest warrant. Then if there is, the attorney can work with the police and court to arrange for the payment of the tickets without an arrest being made. You can find an attorney near you at attorneypages
