is it slander if a person tells alot of people that they saw you using drugs, which i was not . my ex refused to allow me my son for the weekend,went against a court order because of this person,and now is taking me to court i imagine to have me drug tested ,fine by me,i'm clean. ? can i sue this person. i have at least 4 people that will testify that this person told them they SAW me doing drugs.

Of course you can sue. And you can lose, and spend thousands of dollars in the meantime.

so this person can just go around telling anyone they want to lies about me and there is nothing i can do ? my time with my son is precious to me i can never get that back ,not to mention my co-workers,pastor, friends ect..treating me differentall because i told this person about my past (we were suppose to go into business together)dodged that bullet . why even have a slander law?

prove that what she says is a lie. Prove that she did not see you, or that she does not "believe" you to be a drug user.

Why would your friends and pastor treat you differently? unless they have reason to believe what she says.

No one said that you could not sue, what are your damages? (monetary damages, not hurt feelings)
