What is the name of your state? Oregon I have been infore that at the end of my lease the property manager wants to increase my rent by $180.00 per month if I am to sign a new lease and $300.00 if I decide to go onto a month to month. Can they legally do that? I seem to remember someone telling me that there is a limit to the amount that a landlord may increase the rent per year or lease term. Thank you in advance for your advice.

As long as you have been given proper notice ... yep.
