Hi, I recently got a speeding ticket in Greensboro, NC (70 in a 55) and I honestly think that I was not speeding, but I was pegged for 2 reasons:

1) it was dark, and
2) I have out of state plates
(i'm from Texas, so it would make it difficult for me to appear in court).

As it turns out, I never signed the citation--
what is the legalities of an unsigned citation?

i live in idaho and here you don't have to sign the ticket, the tickets here have a place on the bottom for the officer to sign saying that he is serving the ticket on you. if he had you sign then all that would mean here is that you promised to appear but it is not justification to have the ticket dismissed.

read your ticket if you still have it and see if there is a similar statement where the officer signed
