RMet was nice enough to request an update on my GAL visit from this weekend.

So... (and I know I already posted this once, but the thread is missing)...

She arrived a little bit early on Sunday evening, so I was still loading the dinner dishes into the dishwasher and the kids were packing their lunches for Monday. She hung out in the kitchen while we finished up, and then talked to the girls about their weekend at their dad's house.

After a little idle chit chat, she asked for a tour of the house and then her and the girls went into their bedroom to talk - for maybe 20 minutes.

They came back out and she said she was going to take some pictures of the inside of the house to (her words) show that the ex is wrong about my house not being orderly or clean. Then she took some pics of the kids holding the baby and the puppies and the cat and being goofy on the couch (I'm guessing to make them not think that her taking pics in the house was weird?).

She promised the girls copies of the pictures, made sure they had her business card and knew that they could call her anytime, admired the youngest girl's new umbrella, and was ready to leave. I walked her outside, and she said she was going to take some pics of the outside of the house to (again, her words) be able to prove 'him' wrong about the condition of the house. She patted my shoulder, told me not to worry, petted the dogs, took her pics and left.

All in all, I think it was excellent.

Sounds like it went well. :)

My only concern would be a GAL who says those types of statements to one (or the other) parties. However, it could also be to see if you would take the bait & use the opportunity to talk badly about the father. All in all, it sounds like a normal family routine/atmosphere. :)

Hmm.... never thought of that. But, if that was her plan, it backfired. I have yet to speak badly about the ex in her presence. That's not to say I haven't been honest with her, I have - and I've exposed several lies that he's told her (with proof to back up my statements), but I've never 'bad mouthed him'.

All I said when she made those comments was "Feel free to do whatever you need to, and let me know if you need anything from me."

And yes, we're disgustingly routine and normal. I have a list hanging on my refrigerator of everything that needs done each night of the week so nothing is missed and I can look at the list and know I've nothing left to do on Sundays. Maybe a bit OCD? :p

I don't mean to be disrespectful, was wondering if you've ever considered PMing??

Yup. But, since I have no idea who might want to hear an update, I choose not to. Is there some reason an update thread (there are billions on here) bothers you enough that you need to respond and mention it?

My response:

Oh, boy . . .

I sure hope you didn't respond to the GAL like that - - or there's going to be trouble in River City - - Missouri, that is!

This message is hidden because Litigation! is on your ignore list.

But thanks for keeping this bumped up.

It's no wonder to me that your husband dumped your ass. I would have dumped you too!

Geez, little testy aren't we now? :D

My response:

Me? It was Gorilla Jane who said to you, "Yup. But, since I have no idea who might want to hear an update, I choose not to. Is there some reason an update thread (there are billions on here) bothers you enough that you need to respond and mention it?"

He lurves me and just can't stand the fact that I think he's a trolling *******. It is, however, amusing to me that he thinks THAT was an insult. Lemme tell ya, I'm all kinds of sad that my ex 'dumped' me. Not.

Gee, I thought you said I was on your "Ignore List." I guess besides being a bitch, you're also a liar.

Just wait until the whole GAL inspection blows up in your face. Would you have let her take pictures if she had argued with you, or if you had disagreed with her?

Sorry, :)
NO, I didn't mean that to YOU "Lit!", I meant CJane. Wow, all I asked was if she ever considered PMing her continued part 2 SAGA story.

My response:

Oh, then you merely copied the wrong quote, making it look like you were commenting to me.

Anyway, you even used the phrase, "I don't mean to be disrespectful," and she still took a chunk out of your throat!

I don't think Gorilla Jane's situation is going to end up very pleasant for her.
