What is the name of your state? LA
I had posted two questions on her looking for opinions on my case. My X, who resides in NY, was asking the court to give him custody because of about 30 allegations that he managed to find. They ranged from saying I had no potable water (which I do) to things like she is not in school (which she is in her school, her regular school on the first day they opened). He even started the papers out with about how he has growing concern about how our daughter has been moved around in the last 6 months. This moving around, was actually evacuating, not 6 months. I got flooded, but my area was not the hardest hit, I am extremely lucky.
My atty and his atty went into hearing but I didn't go (is that usual, I had assumed I would be in there too). My atty told me that the officer said he was not inclined to move the child. But if they wanted to bring it back in about 3-4 months to see what conditions the child is living in at that time, the court would look at it. I feel that is reasonable.
I felt like this should go my way, but I have seen stranger stuff happen, so I really felt it could go either way. I appreciate ya'll guiding me and offering me your perspective. I am too emotionally involved to really know if what I think is best, is really best. Tks,
