What is the name of your state? nm

it has been a while since I have been on the site. I have tried to work with my ex for the last few months. I finally had to give up on my ex until when and if he ever goes to court. My ex 2 weeks ago threatened to have me taken care of if I came near his mom, step-dad or any one of his family members which I wont because our daughter is just too close to hurt her. He then angrily told me that i was a skanky b** hoe and that our child probably was not and is not his because I am a hoe. And then cont to say that he was going to tell our child what an evil person i was. I went to the police and filed a report. Should I file for a restraining order? I want our child and I to be safe but at the same time dont want to open a can of worms. Advice??? opinions?? anyone?? Thanks

I would say that your initial statement is the right way to go. Just leave him be until he decides to take it to court. Its HIS loss.
