What is the name of your state? Tn/Ky I just thought I would update everyone on how my husband's case went yesterday in Ky over the Protection Order. The Judge granted the protection order for a year she said not because something happened but because she was afraid that if my husband and his ex did not get one of these and have time to cool down after court in TN that something would happen. They have to stay 1000ft away from each other and cannot call the others house use thrid parties except for drop off and pick up that's the only time they can be close to one another. She also looked at my husband's custody order from Tn and said that she would not and could not change it and if his ex wanted to change it she had to go to TN for that. So I guess it went good for both parties.

Smart, proactive judge. She must have understood the situation.

Glad that is one thing less you have to deal with. For drop off/pick up, you could use curbside & neither party exit vehicles. That helps until things mellow a bit.

Congrats. :)

I agree

I think it was a smart Judge also she said she felt they should of already had one so she set one for a year to give things time. They have to meet at Police Station Parking Lots this was already in the court order from Tn my husband requested it a while back because she kept saying things he done that so she wouldn't be able to anymore but apparantly it really didn't help or they wouldn't have had to do this. I'm glad it all worked out I told my husband when she comes I will get out and get his son and when her husband comes he can do it he comes most of the time anyways.
