What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia
A little update!!!! I got a call from the X last night and she has moved to Texas. She has moved just a little over 2 weeks after I won my COC battle. There is nothing that I would just up and move away from my kids for. I guess now the money tree has been chopped down no need to stick around. How Very (Very) SAD!!!! She told the Judge that she was not going to leave her kids so he ruled thanking that she was not moving. Her and her lawyer now wants most of the summer and holidays and half the transportation costs. My lawyer sent the order just as the Judge ordered it giving her EOW and 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off during the summer(I know that now she is in TX. this visitation will not work). What should I offer her just so she will try to be part of the kid’s life? Remember she had an offer to live rent free just 3 houses down from me(kids) and she turned it down. I dont know what else to do.

The typical long distance schedule is every other Thanksgiving, one week at Christmas, every or other other Spring Break and anywhere from 1/2 to 3/4ths of the summer.

Typical other things are "ncp can have a weekend, when in the child's community, with XXX amount of notice to the cp"...phone visitation is often spelled out, and webcams so that the kids can both see and talk to the parent at the same time, are very beneficial to the children.

As far as transportation is concerned, normally the parent who created the distance is responsible for transportation, but if there are significant disparities in the party's incomes, a judge might rule that the transportation costs be shared.
