What is the name of your state? Texas
In the company handbook under the Sick time tab is states:
SICK DAYS
Full-time employees are eligible, after completing their introductory period, for ten paid sick days each year.
Sick days are calculated according to your anniversary date.
You may use available sick days to care for a child who is sick.
Employees are not paid for any unused sick days. However, if you do not use your sick days during the year, you can carry them into the following year, up to a maximum of 15 sick days.
Employees will not be paid for earned but unused sick days upon termination.
I am confused of the last statement regarding the sick days upon termination.
Please explain.
Thanks.
