What is the name of your state? new york

hello: i have been residing in my condo for 7 yrs. & am currently in the process of refinancing . i was told by my lawyer that the previous owner had left 2 liens on this home. we are kind of in doubt of this, being that my bank is pretty thorough. My lawyer thinks this might be a mistake. I would to get some advice from anyone on this site as to whether or not this lien prob will prevent me from getting my home refinanced. thanx alot.....

**A: look at your current title report and see if there are any liens recorded on title and if so, what are they for. Check your title report when you bought the condo unit to see if there were the same liens on title.

And yes, if the liens cann't be removed, they will prevent your refinancing or selling the property.
