What is the name of your state? North Carolina

Iam currently in default of my Dept of eucation loan. At present, they are taking 25% of my income. They has also employed a collection agency to try to gain money from. Is it legal to expect someone to work with a colection agency along with the agency garnishing the person's ckeck? I am on a fix income. I had begun to make payment to the collection agency and the the Dept of education started guarnishing my check even though they knew that I had already begun payment to the collection agency. Please advice.What is the name of your state?

Did you actually earn a degree? Your use of the English language makes me suspect there is something more you are not telling us. What is the form of your fixed income? Is it SSDI by any chance?

I am not disputing that I owe the money to the Government. I have a BA degree . I worked since I was 16yrs old. I am currently receiving money from my deceased husband who died in 2000. I am currently applyingg for SS disability due to mental illness. I am only requesting the answer to my question regarding the collection agency and the guarnishment. Please advise?

From the looks of your post; e.g., spelling and sentence structure, the educational loan was a complete waste of taxpayer dollars.

We, the taxpayers, want our money back as fast as possible.
