I understand that anything I write for my employer becomes theirs. In other words, I can't hold the copyright.

Here's my situation: I write informational flyers regarding dietary supplements. These flyers go through the FDA before we can print them. Once printed, they are given to retailers to give to their customers.

My question concerns retailers using the flyers, in their entirety, on the WEB. In one case, it isn't even the flyer; it's the what I wrote on our website concerning quality control. It's been copied word for word and put on a site. This particular retailer purchases only 1 product from us. There is another retailer whose entire site is information I've written. Absolutely nothing on it is original.

Is this a case of it's simply up to the company I work for. If it doesn't bother them, then who cares? Or is a violation of some type happening?

*** Yes. They own any rights and don't seem to have a problem with their customers actions.
