I created http://www.partyUNCW.com recently and I have already had pressure from my university... "UNC-Wilmington" ( http://www.uncw.edu ) to shut the site down. I have not used any of their logos and I have a disclaimer at the bottom of every page that the site is not associated with the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

I have already been called to a meeting with the Dean of Students and she said that I have no rights to use the name "UNCW" on the website or even "Seahawk" (the school mascot) on the forums.

What are my real rights???

THANK YOU SO MUCH for any info.

The school seems to be far offbase, but the Dean has the ability to threaten, and/or apply life or death power over his or her students, regardless of the law.
