What is the name of your state? North Carolina
I bought an 88 S10 Blazer yesterday. When I purchased it, it was under an as-is agreement, but I asked about the mechanical condition before purchase. The seller being a repair shop said they had the vehicle for a month or so but needed to sell it, but it was in good condition. I got the vehicle home and noticed a gas leak and then it wouldn't start. I had it towed to a repair shop today and they estimated the repair cost over $1000. Do I have any rights as far as what I was told by the shop about the condition of the vehicle? The repair shop I took it to today said that if the shop had the vehicle for any longer than a few days they would have had to notice the gas leak.

There would obviously not be a warranty on a vehicle this old and it would be your responsibility to either check it out or have someone knowledgable about cars to check it out prior to purchasing. I don't think you would have anything to go on there. The only possible thing would be if your state had time period of like three days to cancel the purchase. I don't know alot about that but I have seen it on here. Some places have it and some don't. I'm not an attorney but maybe one will jump in now and explain more about that because I think that may be your only option, if it's not too late.
