I live in pa, bought a used car in new jersey. two to four days after we left the lot, the car began to cut off at red lights. called the dealer who notified me car had already been serviced for same issue prior to my purchase. called service group who notified me that car had been at shop nearly three weeks to resolve issue.

made a list of other issues and returned car to service shop that had completed repairs. salesman assured us we could get rental. after two days of lost wages, salesman refused to accept financial liability and provide rental or loaner. suggested we pay for rental. we refused and left car at service station, canceled insurance and refused to take possesion of car on grounds that salesmen knew of problems, and didn't honor our warranty which stiplulates we should have been provided with a loaner free of charge after car had been services 8 hours or more.

we may not qualify for lemon law because of 6 year statute of limitation (car must be 97 or newer, ours is 96). what other options do i have?

sorry what you went through with that car!
all i can say you can do is,turn the dealer into the better
business bureau.they will keep a record of this. an whoever
calls better business will be aware of this dealer.
selling you a piece of junk!but,this would be a good idea.
anytime you go to purchase a car.call the better business& see
if they have any good or bad reports on the dealer.
just so you know some people dont report the dealer.
soooooooo be careful& goodluck in your next purchase!
