What is the name of your state? Colorado

Two weeks ago I had an offer to buy my old Volvo. There was no ad listed in the paper, or on the car. Someone out driving showed an interest. This gentlemen offered me $800 for the car, said he could give me $100 deposit and pay the balance within a months time. I signed a piece of paper stating I had received his deposit with his intent to purchase said car. I have since changed my mind for various reasons. When I called the gentlemen to let him know this, he was irate. Talked about honor, respect...........Said he would not accept his deposit of $100 back, he wants $300 or he will take me to small claims court! Said I signed a 'bill of sale'. There is no bill of sale as he has yet to purchase the car. I am in posession of the keys, title & car. He refuses to give me an address to send his deposit to. What do I do here? I understand his disappointment, however, I can change my mind.
