Used my image without permission

I'm from Pennsylvania. I play in a rock band. Imagine my surprise when I opened up the local free weekly and saw a picture and description of me and my band. Can they do this without my permission? Can I sue for compensation?

Were you in a place open to the public when the picture was taken? If you were, you have no case.

If the paper has rights to use the picture, and what they wrote about you is factual, and they are not using your image in such a way that it implies that you are authorizing or endorsing a product, service, or place, then the answer is yes -- they can do this without your permission.
