What is the name of your state? WA

I signed a six month lease, which stated I was responsible for electricity, cable, telephone and water. Currently I'm month to month. The apt. complex was sold and the new owner said I owed $402 in previous water bills. I never rec'd. a water bill during the six month lease. I wrote the manager a letter requesting a detailed breakdown of the charges. On 10/20 I rec'd a water bill for 464.42, 402 in back charges and 62 in new charges. Any advice on my responsibilities to the backowed amount?

Thanks.

What did your lease say again?

Looks to me like you are responsible as long as the bill dates were within the range of your tenancy and for your address.

Do you still have water????
