i purchased an all inclusive package through a travel agency to an all inclusive resort in mexico for myself, fiance, and his two children. upon arrival at the airport we were refused boarding because the birth certificates of the children were photocopies and did not have a raised seal. we were not told anything by the travel agent about documents that we were supposed to have. are they liable? can we take them to small claims court to get reimbursement for our extra expenses? we had to buy tickets to fly out two days late. they refuse to pay and say that we won't get anything if we take them to court because they are not liable.
