Hey all,

I'm currently waiting for my receipt of confirmation for my H1-b visa transfer so that I can start working in my new job. This process is taking an average of 4 weeks lately. INS sucks so much that it is really amazing. Anyways... considering that my company last week already notified INS about the fact that I'm not working with them anymore (and I'm really not!), can I go abroad and return in two weeks from now, even without having alread received the transfer receipt???
I'm not sure what to do... if I try to convince the immigration officer that I'm returning to the country and that my receipt will be issued in the next few days... or if I can reenter this time as a regular Tourist (I guess this one wouldn't work...)... or what...
Any advice will be fully appreciated,

Thanks,

Rodrigo
