i used a valet parking attendant in beverly hills, ca. when i went to the dentist. when i picked up my car there was damage on the passenger side. they say it was there when i came in. what can i do? i have never scratched a vehicle in the 20 years that i have been driving.

My response:

It's always the same. The first words that come out of the mouths of Iranian or Arab parking attendants is: "We didn't do it. The damage was already there." Judges know this. Sue the jerks in Small Claims court. They invariably lose. Just make sure you have your parking slip, receipt or claim check.
