vehicle lease

In the state of New Jersey, a verbal agreement was made along with our written vehicle lease agreement. the dealership assured us that we could transfer our lease to canada. upon our move to canada, we now know that we can not bring our leased vehicle across the border. do we have any legal way to terminate the lease?
