What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? kansas
a friend purchased a vehicle at the end of september it was represented as being 4wheel drive (there is a check mark in the 4 wheel drive box in the vehicle description paperwork) it was purchased from a small dealership. He was under the impression ( told by salesman) that the 4 wd was automatic so the lack of a control to engauge it didnt alarm him. Needless to say when the vehicle had trouble getting traction in the snow he was concerned and had a knowledgeable friend look at it. This is when he learned it was not 4wd. So the question is after nearly 4 months does he have any legal recourse?
