can I sue for breach of contract?

I went to Africa 6 years ago. Found a young, 6'11'' 17 years old kid. Very intelligent, good athlete. I Contacted his parents about helping him come to the US on an athletic schorlarship. Mindful of the NCAA rules, I tell parents we cannot sign any document, but in return, we all agreed I would be part of his management team in case he went pro.I Prepared all documents: Visas, Plane fares, host family, etc...(still have copies)Upon arrival, I picked him at the airport. He spent the night at my house. Then I put him on a train to school. 5 years later, he signs a contract with an agent and does not want to have anything to do with me.

It took me about 1.5 years to organize everything for this kid. I spent a fortune on phone calls. I spent months contacting High Schools and looking for the adequate program that would get him prepared to receive an NCAA schorlarship. Had it not been for me, he would be making about $400.00 amonth in his country ( that is when he gets paid!)

Can I sue?
