i live in louisiana. i had 2 dogs that were raised together. we, regretfully, had to find a new home for the dogs. when our ad was answered the couple was told that since the dogs were raised together and are very attached to each other that both dogs must be taken in. they were also told that if they find that they could not keep one or both dogs that they be returned to us to ensure they remain together. they both agreed. about 2 weeks later we received a call for us to pick up one of the dogs and that the other was already given away. we obtained the contact information of the 3rd party and immediately retrieved our remaining dog. we contacted the 3rd party and informrd them of the situation and offered money, another dog at our expense, and anything that would reunite the dogs. they politely refused. one or both of the original couple is willing to state in court that we had a verbal agreement and they made a mistake. do we have any possibility of reuniting these dogs?

thanks!
