In family run agricultural businesses there is rarely a written contract of partnership. The son puts in time and energy and not until the time of the father's death is there ever anything in writing. In the case of a divorce what defense would a spouse have to stake claim to a partnership that was verbal for 14 years, and not written? A divorce happens and all of a sudden the son is just another worker on the farm. Please help...
