I was involved with someone back in late 1997 and early 1998, and he owes me a lot of money. When we split up, I gave him a listing of what he owed me and he said he would pay it back. As of this date, I have not received any money from him. I have made several calls and emailed him recently to remind him that he owes me this money. I am from Ohio and he now lives in New Mexico. Would it be worth it for me to sue him or have I past the point that I am able to?

Old loans

It would be worthwhile to sue him if the amount he owes is large enough to make it worth while to hire an attorney and start collection procedures in New Mexico. Also you must consider the amount of property he has or income from salary, so that if you do win, there is something you can collect from. Lastly, you have to consider your proof. If the loan was an oral contract, can you prove it exists?
