Does anyone know if, in the state of Missouri, if rent can be increased verbally or does it have to be in writing from the landlord?

It has to be in writing and it also has to be with proper notice. Are you on a lease or a month to month tenant?

Currently a month-to-month. We've lived here for 7 years and the lease covered the first year.
