I work for a city in the state of Florida, a few days ago I ran into another employee I had never met. i'm 30 yrs old and he is much older, This fellow employee had to be subdued by 3 other employees from attacking me due to me telling his supervisor that he and 2 other employees were not helping me with a job. This man called me a mother-****er at least 5 times and put his finger in my face. When I asked him what his problem is he went into a rage and ran around a counter to get at me, luckily there was 2 men and a women there to hold him back from attacking me, he was so persistent at getting at me that he pushed one of the men in to me , pinning me against the counter for a few seconds.i told the highest ranking person there that i was gonna call public safety because this man was in such a rage. She told me no because he was an older man, and told me i should leave, this happened in fron of public residents as well as other employees, needless to say i was very concerned that she made this look like i started this comfrontation. and i feel my reputation is damaged. there is a little more information that i can add, but it will take too long to explain, the bottom line is i was verbaly threatened and humiliated in front of other employees and residents of our city. I was also threatened with physical harm. Is there anything legaly i can do ?
