Hello to everyone!

Could you please advise me what documents may I need to sell a Vertical Machining Center or any industrial purpose tech at all? I am asking because we have bought a VMC from a Chinese supplier and did not get ANY documents with it. What documents should I make them send us, if later we are going to buy a new machine and sell this one as used with a lower price?

Thank you a lot in advance! I would really appreciate an answer. :)

This is not a legal question.
Most people would want at least a manual, I would think.
You also need to tell us what state you are in.

What US state?
Generally, you'll need whatever permits your local municipality may require.

ETA: Ahh - you want to sell it. In that case, here in the US, you should sell it as is/where is. Let the buyer deal with the paperwork.

If you are a consumer rather than an importer there are no special requirements.

If you are claiming to be a consumer when you are in fact an importer the rules and requirements are something you should sit down with a lawyer and have a chat with.

Thank you for all the answers!
Can I ask you what's the difference between consumer and importer? Whether we buy goods for ourselves and not for selling? If so, we do. But I don't know how to prove this legally.
If the person who will buy our VMC requires any documents, will we have problems? Thank you again!

What is the name of your state or, if not in the US, what is the name of your country?

Ukraine. Sorry for asking you even though everything I told you about is happening not in the USA. I just badly need an advice, and documents required from the seller might be the same in most countries.

If it makes any difference and you don't want to answer because of the country, we are also situated in Maryland, USA. We will sell the machine in our Ukrainian branch, but I don't think definition of words 'consumer' and 'importer' differ too much in any country.

If the machine is in your Ukrainian branch, and you're done with it, and want to sell it there, whoever manages that branch and lives there should have some idea of what it takes to sell a used piece of business equipment, or a used car, or a used TV set, or a used couch, or a used anything else.

If that person has no idea what to do he or you should be talking to a lawyer in whatever city of the Ukraine your branch is located.

To be clear, for the OP: This is NOT a US law matter. This forum doesn't deal with Ukranian law.
