[/FONT] :What is the name of your state? Arizona.
Police slander victim of violent crime with callous indifference to avoid public duty.
Police violated my Civil Rights, specifically the
14th Amendment-Right Guaranteed Privileges and Immunities of Citizenship. Right to Equal Protection and Due Process.

Bill of Victims Rights. Section 2.1. (A) of the Arizona Constitution: To preserve and protect victim's right to justice and due process.

Police responding to assault, failed to seek medical attention for me as I stood in a state of shock, bleeding from my nose and face, after having been kicked in the head repeatedly by 3 men and 1 woman.
I was jumped from behind by the 3 men as I attempted to inform the parents of a group of children who were standing in the road, holding a cat and cussing at cars as they passed.

Upon arrival Police interacted with my friend, who came to so see what was keeping me, witnessed the and ended the assault by calling Police.
I remember standing there, I could see the police arguing with her but could not hear comprehend what was happening. I was very disoriented from the assault. The Police then got in their car and drove away.
When I arrived home I immediately called Police to file a report. It was not until the next morning that an Officer arrived to take the report.

I called the Detective assigned to my case. When I called to inform him that people who had assaulted me were being evicted. The same group of people had been responsible for other assaults, though, as one woman tells me, never charged. I also inquired about assistance with medical care. The Detective laughed at me as I cried for justice. Stating I shouldn't have been there.

I was devastated. The people were never charged for assaulting me.
The assault was reported well within the 72hrs required. The Police stating in their report that I was stumbling and was drunk, that I had made racist remarks and derogatory remarks about Police. They even said the I had told them that I had just stopped using meth and I didn't think the police would help me anyways.
These claims they are using as reasons to deny my rights are not only false but unsubstantiated. Derogatory statements Police claim I made were made by my hysterical passenger. She was traumatized by witnessing the assault and by seeing that the police were unwilling to assist. She will attest to this fact and will likely become aggravated again about the injustice she witnessed if asked.

The Police, having the woman in cuffs and in the car for making racist remarks to the police, failed to even get her name or the names of the men involved. They wrote the time of the incident as being 11:00 pm.
911 records will show as well as personal phone records, that the time was 6:45 pm, still daylight.
If the officers believed me to be drunk, then why would they leave me beaten, drunk and combative at the scene knowing I was driving my car.
How would a woman, having been repeatedly kicked in the head by 3 men and a woman appear? Might she sway from side to side? Is she still not entitled to her Rights of Protection. I was not drunk, but I ask myself, if I had been would they then not only be guilty of not only failing to protect me but the public as well.

Statements that I said I had just stopped using meth or completely false and
unsubstantiated. Looking at my record 7 years ago I was charged with crimes involving meth. 7 years ago after being in a rollover car accident, in which I spoke to God, was dedicated to being clean and helping the real victims of substance abuse, the children.

I have run a shelter for abused and neglected children for the last five years. I am creating a non-profit organization that reunites sibling who have been separated by CPS. I volunteered with the Fire Department as a Victims Assistant. I have managed my complex for the last 5 years as well. 3/4 of my tenant are Hispanic.
My tenants are wonderful people and will attest to the fact that I have no prejuduces.
I feel false statements made by Police....
Susan made racist remarks towards Hispanics.
Susan made derogatory statements about Police.
Susan was drunk.
Susan said she had just stopped using meth.
were made to make me appear in a negative light, thus excusing why I was denied my rights, or intended to intimidate me into not perusing the issue.

I have written several letters to the Police and the Governor's Office and received no reply.
I have been diagnosed with PTSD, Brain Contusions, Anxiety and Depression.
I have not worked in almost a year. I have damaged relationships with my friends and my family with my hyper vigilance and anger.
I am filing a lawsuit against the Police. I am wondering if false statements (all can be substantiated) by Police would be considered Slander. Is it true that when written on paper for legal use it becomes Libel?
Are there any Amendments regarding False Reporting by Police?

I am determined to see this through. In your opinion am I wasting my time?

Susan this is a case where you need the advice of an attorney in person rather than insincere jerks with an air of superiority that couldn't possibly help you anyway. Get advice as to a good attorney in your area who if he takes the case is doing because he feels there is a good chance of success rather than just taking your money. I personally think it is just one of lifes lessons and you should move on....particularly if you know that you had been drinking.

I say irrelivent

thank you for your response.
You’re thought's on the subject are shared by others, I am compelled to find out why, in cases where a person was drunk, that they would not be charged with DUI or Public Intoxication? If I had been Drunk and they allowed me drive, wouldn’t that be not only failing to protect me but the public as well.
I wish they would have taken the time to check if I had been drinking this would not be an issue. To make it an issue without the facts to substantiate the statement only clouds the issue. I was not drunk, having just returned from my grandfathers funeral, I wonder where it is written than having consumed alcohol denies you your rights. If two men get into a bar fight, they receive medical care and then are taken to jail. If a drunk persons car goes over the edge of a cliff, they still retrieve his car and if he's not dead, get him immediate medical care. If a drunk person falls from a boat, would the ranger not save him.
It seems the incident that happened to me is so horrible that in some way it has to be my fault. I must have done something. The same mentality used in the past with victims of rape. I am no way comparing my assault to rape, but the degrading treatment and the callous attitude of the police and others is as much an assault as the assault itself.
I was not drunk. To say that I was and use it as a reason to deny my rights is not legal. To state that I was drunk based on my appearance after an assault is unsubstantiated, therefore Slander. Even criminals have rights. I was not a criminal. I was a concerned parent and behavioral specialist for children attempting to make contact with the parents of the children who were acting out in the street. Not only was I not drunk that day, I have never been charged with any crime involving alcohol or violence.
This issue brings to mind that nearly each and every one of us has a loved one who occasionally consumes alcohol. To think that they could be violently beaten and left to an unknown fate is very disturbing. Think of someone in your family and how you might feel.
I will claim irrelevant if this goes to trial. I will answer the question. I will also question it's relevance. I want to see, for what, if any reasons is this acceptable.
The other issue is my passengers mouth. There was an occasion the other day where her sister became ill. Sassy ( her new nickname) was screaming at the police again. These officers cent PD out to arrest my mouthy friend so they could treat the victim. Surely there is policy and procedure regarding combative
