My brother and I reunited after not speaking for over 2 years. Over a year ago, he had beat his ex-wife in front of his daughters(my neices). He knows that I have had a close relationship with his children since they were born. I do not take sides on his and his exes doings. I am for the kids only. After beating his x-wife & putting her in the hospital he lost his vistation rights to them. It's been over a year since he has seen them. I gave him the benifit of the doubt thinking he might of changed, but he has proved different it seems. He invited me to his home and set up a camera and video taped our conversations. He mailed the tapes out to his x-wife and to me along with transcripts he typed from the tape. I was not aware I was being taped or recorded throughout my visit. He mailed the first tape and transcripts to my home, ordering me to tell his ex to let him see the girls or he would send her the tapes and transcripts. I refused to do so, so he sent them. She is very upset and now refuses to let me ever see the children again. I'm not sure if there is anything I can legally do about this and I am needing help rather quickly or at least some answers if what he did is illegal and how I go about stopping it from further people getting a copy. HELP PLEASE..

Take the tapes (copies) and the transcript to the local city attorney and file charges against brother under Arkansas Code Annotated Section 5-60-120 (Michie 1997).

If the city attorney won't file, (the statute in Arkansas is rather weak) then take them to the local FBI office in Little Rock.
FBI Little Rock
#24 Shackleford West Boulevard
Little Rock, Arkansas 72211-3755
littlerock.fbi.gov
(501) 221-9100

It is also a class A misdemeanor in Arkansas to POSSESS such recordings.
