What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

been having issues with school aged kids (middle school) cutting across our and our neighbors lawns, throwing trash and grabbing etc property that is not theirs. Our landlord has a for sale sign out front (so does our next door neighbor) that they are constantly grabbing and bending etc. a few weeks ago one of the kids ripped the corner of the sign on the property where we live causing it to dangle, I had fixed it. They have also messed with the neighbors sign as well. Trying to talk to them and telling them to keep their hands off others people property has not worked same with threats of the cops. What our landlord is asking us to do is to tape the kids and what they are doing so he can go to the police. But before we do that, can we legally tape people when they are crosing our property because it is involving minors? thanks

It is perfectly legal to do what you are planning to do.
