vindictive landlord!

Hello, I live in Mo. I have had problems with my ex-landlord. i moved into her home, signed a years lease, the place was in need of fixing. so i had the electric outlets repaired, and un-wallpapered and painted the entire house. i also gave her $160 to repair the roof. the basement flooded with sewer and she did pay for that, but said the next time it happened i would have to pay because "you can't flush toilet paper in the toilet"! I paid for the screens to be replaced also. Keep in mind the house came in this condition. i was adamant with paying rent until i lost my tattooing job, after six months of living there. well i was late with one month of rent and she came to my house while i was out and put a padlock on my door! without warning! leaving my 3 yr old and i homeless for the night.she wouldn't talk to me or let me retrieve my belongings. since then she has sold my things and her boyfriend said she had planned on moving in the house since i had fixed it up?!? do i have a good enough case to go to court? also is there any way i could be reimbursed for my belongings? i lost mine and my son's life in that house!

OK little girl it is obvious you are not bright at all....

Becuase you would have know it is ILLEGAL for a landlord to padock your door and you should have called the police and have the landlord arrested.

I would see a lawyer tomorrow, and sue her asss off for this...

A lot of lawyers will work on contingency....will get a percentage of the winnings..

You can always go there tomorrow call 911 and demand they let you back in.... have your lease and the police just might arrest both of them

Ok, so I live in hickville USA! A lot of people get stuck out here. For being "not so bright" I called the police they said it was something along the lines of a domestic dispute, they couldn't do anything about it. It would have to be handled between us, and then they offered my son and I the comforts of the police station for the night....I have also been raised in Germany and am still learning
the american laws. Other than the not so bright thing your advise was helpful. Thanks!
