My ex filed a custody claim against me after leaving him due to him being abusive. I was never notified of the first hearing and the Judge and his lawyer both knew this fact. The second hearing I only knew about 2 days prior to the hearing. I found a lawyer in time for this one. But the first one was never notified of and the held the hearing anyway knowing that I was not notified, therefore not allowing me to properly defend myself and my kids. Can someone tell me if this is for sure violation fo my due process please?
